We have just installed 12 sanyo HIT panels on two small roofs on a property who didnt think there house was suitable for solar. These new panels are smaller whith a 250 watt output, so 2 -3 kw systems are easily achieved on the smalest roofs.

Even on large roofs these are a good idea if you want a 3.6kw system but don’t want to cover your entire roof.
